The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia Leucophylla): with its unique white cups is our rarest species of Sarracenia that we offer. The Sarracenia Leucophylla is a purebred species that you could spot in the wild in North America / Canada. Because of the bright white colour, this species looks beautiful. There are few plants like this that are white, so that you really bring something special into your home.
The cups of the Pitcher plant have a beautiful bright (in this case white) colour in order to attract insects. Besides the impressive colours, a nectar-like liquid sticks to the edge of the cups. However, the edge of the plant is smooth, so the insect falls into the cups quickly. Once inside the pitcher, the insect will not be able to escape. The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) catches mosquitoes, (fruit) flies & wasps in your house or garden.
