Description Carnivorous plants soil
Specially developed by the grower, 'Carnivorous Plants Soil' is suitable for all types of carnivorous plants. It is a fairly large bag with a 4-litre capacity. Several plants can be repotted with this bag.
Important: Carnivorous plants cannot tolerate 'normal' potting soil. Normal potting soil often contains nutrients and other substances for flowers and plants. Carnivorous plants extract nutrition from the soil by means of their roots, which they then supplement with nutrients derived from captured prey such as mosquitoes, (fruit) flies and other insects. Read more about the origins of carnivorous plants here. Because carnivorous plants have never learned to separate substances properly, they take up everything that is in the soil. When there are other substances in the potting soil than the carnivorous plant is used to, this can have negative consequences in the long run. Our potting soil has been developed with care and expertise by a group of growers who have been cultivating carnivorous plants for years. This carnivorous plant soil contains nutrients that are extremely suitable for carnivorous plants.
