Description Sundew (Capensis Alba)
The sundew (Drosera): got its special name because of its unique appearance. The sundew consists of small leaves with hairs on the sides. On these hairs are small drops, these drops are reminiscent of morning dew. These droplets have a nectar smell, which makes the insects sit on the droplets. Once attached to a droplet, the insect will not come off again. The stem then rolls up in order to digest the insect. The sundew (Drosera Capensis Alba) is a peaceful and beautiful plant to have in the house and it catches mosquitoes. Handy for in the summer!
