Description Sundew (Binata)
The sundew (Drosera): gets its name from the impressive fall of the plant. The sundew has small stems with hairs in which small droplets are found. The droplets on the stems spread a nectar odour and attract insects. If an insect drinks from one of these drops, the insect gets stuck and the stalk closes. The insect is then digested. The sundew is a beautiful and impressive plant that is an eye-catcher in any interior. The sundew (Drosera binata) is also one of the only carnivorous plants that catches mosquitoes.
