Description Trumpet Pitcher Plant ‘Purpurea Venosa’ - GREEN (Sarracenia)
The Trumpet Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia) owes its name to its beautiful shapes and colours. The trumpet pitcher plant uses cup-shaped leaves, and the Sarracenia Purpurea Venosa ‘green’ has very large spherical cups. Nectar is found on the edge of these cups, which insects find irresistible. The impressive colours and nectar (scents) of the trumpet pitcher plant lure insects into the trap. Once inside the large cups, barbs inside prevent the insects from climbing out. The cups then digest the insect and use the nutrients. In this way, this impressive plant provides its own food and helps you with insects in your home. The Sarracenia Purpurea Venosa is indispensable in your home and/or garden!
