Description Pitcher plant ‘Hybrid’ (Nepenthes) - large
Nepenthes (pitcher plants) are found in the beautiful jungles of Borneo, Thailand and Indonesia, among other places. The lid of the pitcher contains a sweet liquid that attracts insects.
The pitcher contains enzymes that digest the insects. This hybrid Nepenthes is a unique pitcher plant and new to our range.
The large Pitcher Plant ‘Hybrid’ (Nepenthes): Meet our unique but unknown Nepenthes called the “Nepenthes Hybrid”. This is not its real name. But we prefer not to attach a name tag to this impressive sight. The name “Hybrid” refers to the fact that this plant is a hybrid, i.e. a cross between two plant species. In this case, a cross between two Nepenthes species. This species does not yet have an official name, which makes it even more unique
In the wild, hybrids often occur, but this is also often done by humans.
