Description Trumpet Pitcher Plant ‘Hummer's Hammerhead’ (Sarracenia):
The Trumpet Pitcher Plant ‘Hummer's Hammerhead’ (Sarracenia) is our newest cultivar. The Trumpet Pitcher Plant has very distinctive pitchers. Because the “head” of the pitchers is flat, it resembles a hammerhead shark. This cultivar consists of: psittacina x alabamensis) x alabamenesis. This cultivar is currently in high demand.
Nectar is found on the rim of these pitchers, which insects find irresistible. The impressive colours and nectar (scents) of the trumpet pitcher plant lure insects into the trap. Once inside the large pitchers, barbs inside the pitchers prevent the insects from climbing out. The cups then digest the insect and use the nutrients. In this way, this impressive plant provides its own nutrition and helps you with insects in your home.
This new hybrid is indispensable in your home and/or garden! This hybrid can be ordered in large (pot size 12 cm) and small (pot size 9 cm) sizes.
