Description Pitcher plant “Veitchii” (small)
Our Nepenthes “Veitchii” is a striking carnivorous plant from the rainforests of Borneo. The species is known for its large, colourful pitchers, which are used to lure and digest insects. Thanks to its broad, striped peristome and hairy leaves, this Nepenthes is very popular with plant collectors. In the wild, the plant grows both low in warm jungles and high in cooler mountainous areas. The pitchers contain digestive fluid that extracts nutrients from captured prey, a clever adaptation to nutrient-poor soils.
The ultimate must-have for Nepenthes (pitcher plant) enthusiasts.
