The Sarracenia Leucophylla is a purebred species that you could spot in the wild in North America / Canada. The cups of the Pitcher plant have beautiful colours to lure insects. Besides the impressive colours, a nectar-like liquid sticks to the edge of the cups. However, the edge of the plant is smooth, so the insect will quickly fall into the cups. Once inside the pitcher, the insect will not be able to escape. The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) catches mosquitoes, (fruit) flies & wasps in your house or garden.
