The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) gets its name from its beautiful shapes and colours. The Pitcher plant has cup-shaped leaves, and the Sarracenia Tess has beautiful long narrow tubes. The edges of these cups contain nectar, which insects find irresistible. The impressive colours and nectar (scents) of the Pitcher plant lure the insects into the trap. Once inside the large cups, barbs within the cups make it impossible for the insect to climb out. The cups then digest the insect and use the nutrients. This way, this impressive plant provides its own nutrition and helps you with insects in your home. The Sarracenia Judith is indispensable in your home and/or garden!
