The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) gets its name from its beautiful appearance. The Pitcher plant uses cup-shaped leaves. In (on) these cup-shaped leaves is nectar that is irresistible to insects. The impressive colours and nectar (scents) of the Pitcher plant lure the insects into the trap. Once inside the cups, it is no longer possible for the insect to climb out. The cups then digest the insect and use the nutrients. This way, this impressive plant provides its own nutrition and helps you with insects in your home.
Sarracenia "Mitch" is indispensable in your home and/or garden! This plant is a hybrid, crossed with various species including the "Purpurea".
