The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia Stevensii): With its beautiful purple-coloured cups it is a real eye-catcher in the house. The pitchers of the Pitcher plant have the most impressive colours and shapes to attract insects. Apart from the bright colours, the plant has a sweet nectar that is found on the edge of the cups. However, the edge of the plant is smooth, so the insect quickly falls into the cups. Once inside the pitcher, there is no way back for the insect. The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) catches mosquitoes, flies & wasps in your house or garden. An absolute must have in the summer!
