The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia Tygo): is with its beautiful large coloured cups a real eye-catcher in the house. The Pitcher plant has large trumpet-like cups. The pitchers of the Pitcher plant have the most impressive colours and shapes. The cups contain a sweet nectar that lures insects. Once inside the pitcher, there is no way back for the insect. The Pitcher plant (Sarracenia) catches mosquitoes, flies & wasps in your house or garden. An absolute must have in the summer!
Nice to know: this species, with cups of 40 cm long, is the largest Sarracenia (Pitcher plant) we have. The species is also named after the great-grandchild of the grower.
