Description Sundew (Paradoxa)
Paradoxa' Sundew is a beautiful and striking tropical species. The plant has its origin in Australia. Here they live in nutrient poor, moist and warm areas. The Paradoxa is a carnivorous plant that uses its sticky traps to catch insects. The traps of the plant are red and full of sticky droplets. The Paradoxa releases a so-called luring smell that attracts insects and flies. When the insects land on the traps, they get stuck in the sticky droplets, from which point escape is impossible. From this point on, the plant starts its digestive process. The Paradoxa is a beautiful plant to have in the house and the sundew catches mosquitoes. Handy for in the summer, therefore!
